After dyeing your project, let it batch for 24+ hours (if snow or ice dyed, batch for 24+ hours after the snow or ice has melted)

To begin wash out process, rinse with cool water until water becomes to run clearish. Then switch to hot water. The hot water will rinse out the excess dye that hasn’t bonded with the fabric. Remove rubber bands or sinew (sinew comes off best in hot water if you wiggle the knot around a bit, avoid using scissors because it’s so easy to snip fabric). Consider wearing gloves!

For washing machines add your pieces to the washer and wash on a cold cycle, then do a hot cycle with a small amount of Dawn or detergent. If you are hand washing I recommend soaking in a tub of hot water for 15 minutes, and repeat until the water is clear. Dry in dryer or hang dry.
